Permit sales are the main source of funding for all clubs in the OFSC. Buying your permit where you ride the most allows that club to afford trail maintenance. Preparing the trails for winter costs money, so please buy your permit early at one of retail outlets listed below.

NOTE: All permits must be purchased before traveling on the trails. They expire at midnight on the posted expiry date. The “New” Classic, Special Events, 3 and 7 Day Trail permits cannot be sold on the trail.

Special Event, 3 Day and 7 Day Permits will be available after the season starts.

Where does your permit money go?

All of the revenue from all Snowmobile Trail Permit sales goes to the OFSC and its clubs. Together, we invest these funds to operate, maintain and support over 40,000 km of OFSC snowmobile trails for your riding pleasure.

Remember, Buy Where You Ride.

Please review the OFSC Assumptions for Trail Use and the Canadian Snowmobile Code of Ethics before you ride.

Permit Placement:

The Trail Permit is valid only when permanently affixed in the approved areas so that it is fully visible to a person standing 10 meters in front of the machine on its centerline.
